Current Videogame Controllers

 The state of current day videogame controllers is very interesting. Back about 16 years ago, we were still looking for the standard, meaning that companies were still experimenting, but eventually the standard eventually became the Xbox 360 controller. This controller is still considered by many the greatest videogame controller of all time. This shows with many other companies using a similar style to it in the modern day, such as the Nintendo Switch pro controller. Even past when the standard was set, other companies still urged for better and kept on experimenting, for example Nintendo, who revolutionized motion controls with the Wii remote, which eventually lead to it's modern day counterpart in the joycon. Then there is Sony who has forever stood with the dualshock design, but have been tweaking it slightly, the most significant tweak they have made it the past years has been the new PS5 controller design. If you ask gamers today... What is your favorite controller? They will most likely respond with the Xbox series of controllers. This is because most like it's design and comfortable grip. Hell it was so good that many PC gamers also use them. If you ask me... What's your favorite? I would respond with the Nintendo Switch pro controller just because I was never really an Xbox kid. What can we learn from this? Well we can learn that companies are still working long and hard to perfect controllers, and that right now the Xbox series of controllers is the current standard, but just because there is a standard, that doesn't mean we can't still experiment.
